We would like to congratulate all of them on their hard work and wish them all the best going on into 5th Year. In particular we are delighted for Ciara Kenny on achieving one of the 6 best overall results in the whole country, so well done Ciara !

Award Ceremony 2014
Congratulations to all the award recipients at last Tuesday evening's Ceremony at St. John Bosco C.C. The MC for the evening, Ms. Coughlan-Flynn welcomed Special guest M.E.P Brian Crowley. Brian presented various Categories of Awards after addressing Parents, Students and Staff of the College.

Mr. Colum Collins, the Senior Clare football manager, was also present to hand out the Munster medals to the U15 team.
Mr. McNelis and Ms. Giltenane presented awards to the Sport people of the Year.
Ms. Moroney presented the Gaisce medals – Ms. Convey presented the Civic award to Rachel Harrison & Chloe Normoyle for their work in South Africa in January 2014.
Ms. Coughlan-Flynn presented awards to 4th Year Students for their good attendance in 2013-2014 and Ms. Convey presented the Green School Committee with Certs for their co-operation in helping attain their 2nd Green Flag.
Award for Overall Best Leaving Cert. Results 2013
On Friday, Dec 6th 2013, Students from St. John Bosco Community College received awards from CEO of LCETB, Mr Sean Bourke, at the Temple Gate Hotel , Ennis.
Stephen McInerney received an award for Overall Best Leaving Cert. Results in the college for 2013.
Award from the Kemmy Business School UL
Brian Meaney (5th year) received an award from the Kemmy Business School UL in conjunction with the Business Studies Teachers Association of Ireland on 11th March 2015.
This is the 3rd annual business award ceremony. Students from Clare, Limerick and Tipperary received an award for achieving a grade A in Business Studies in the Junior Certificate 2014.

On Wednesday March 5th, six students from St John Bosco Community College were presented with an Award from the Kemmy Business School, UL and the Business Teachers Association in recognition for being the top business studies students in the Junior Certificate Exam 2013.
The awardees are as follows: Darragh Cleary, Clodagh Murphy (Coolmeen), Caroline Casey, Rachel O'Sullivan (Kildysart), Lauren Griffin, Daire Meanney (Lissycasey).
Business Studies Award 2012
Three of our students recently received an award for their outstanding results in their Junior Cert Business Studies exam (2012).
The presentation was made at UL’s Concert Hall by the Kemmy Business School & Business Studies Teacher Association of Ireland (BSTAI) to Aine O’Neill, Laura Meany and Mark O’Sullivan.
Ceremony in Waterford
March 12th 2015 was a proud day as the school was presented with a tricolour at a ceremony in Waterford attended by President Higgins.
Ciara Kenny at IrEUSO 2015
On the 24th of October 2015 Ciara was invited to participate in IrEUSO, a National Competition held in Dublin City University for students who excelled in both Mathematics and Science on their Junior Certificate Examination 2015.
The top six students in IrEUSO will represent Ireland in Estonia in 2016 at the European competition.
Ciara said "it was a huge privilege to be invited to take part in this prestigious event". We in the school would like to congratulate Ciara for yet another great achievement.

Féile na hinse Winners 2014
Congratulations to the following students who were winners at Féile na hInse. Clodagh Murphy won 1er prize in the Gearrscéal and Rachel O'Sullivan, Darragh Cleary, Lauren Griffin, Laoise Kelly, Lisa Maher, Gary Stephens and Rachel Harrison all won prizes in the Aiste section.
On Saturday morning, Áine O’Neill was placed 2nd in the senior Labhairt na Gaeilge competition while Ciara Kenny and Tara Kelly won 2nd and 3rd place also in the Labhairt na Gaeilge, junior section. Well done to all students
Féile na hInse winners 2016
Congratulations to JJ Mc Quaid and Rachel Murphy who won prizes at féile na hInse for their essays "Mo Laoch Spóirt" and Mikey Donnellan and Ciara Kenny who also won prizes for their aiste in the senior category entitled "1916."
Ciara Kenny also won 1st prize in the "Labhairt na Gaeilge" competition - 500e part scholarship to the Gaeltacht.
FETAC/QQI LEVEL 5 AWARDS IN BUSINESS AND CARE SUPPORT (Healthcare)
In December 2014 a Presentation of FETAC /QQI Certificates were made to the Class of 2014. Ms Catherine Bracken Guidance Counsellor with LCETB attended the ceremony and made the presentation. She spoke of the importance of a FETAC/QQI qualification and saw it as opening up opportunities for the awardees in terms of employment and further education.For the first time the college offered a component certificate in Care Support (Healthcare) and a large group undertook this course of study. School Principal Ms Coughlan Flynn congratulated the graduates and stated that they were important ambassadors for the college; she wished them well in their future endeavours. FETAC/QQI Level 5 Awards in Business and Care Support
A recent presentation of FETAC /QQI Certificates was made to the Further Education Class of 2015 at St John Bosco Community College, Kildysart.
College Principal Mr Liam O’Mahony presented the Certificates to the awardees and spoke of the importance of a FETAC/QQI qualification, leading to opportunities in terms of employment and further education.
He said they were important ambassadors for the college and wished them well in their future endeavours.

Is dúshlán é Gaeilge 24 chun daltaí scoile a spreagadh chun labhairt as Gaeilge amháin ar feadh lae. Tá an dúshlán á eagrú ag Conradh na Gaeilge agus bhí os cionn 20,000 dalta páirteach sa dúshlán ar fud na tíre i mbliana. Bhí lá iontach againn agus spreag an dúshlán na daltaí i dtreo na Gaeilge. Ba iontach an rud é an Ghaeilge a chloisteáil timpeall na scoile ar an lá. Maith sibh!
|Congratulations to everybody that took part in Gaeilge 24 on the 22nd of November 2014. More than seventy pupils took part on the day. Gaeilge 24 is a challenge which encourages pupils to speak only Irish for a day.The challenge is organised by Conradh na Gaeilge and over 20,000 pupils participated in the challenge across the country.|
We had a great day and the challenge encouraged pupils to speak Irish. It was wonderful to hear Irish in the school on the day. Well done everyone!
