Shannon Search and Rescue visit
During the month of November 2012, three students visited Shannon Search and Rescue Helicopter part of the IEMS (Irish Emergency Services). In the afternoon, they visited the Atlantic AirVenture in order to find out more about what flying is about and airplanes.
This was an opportunity for them to see the brand new Sikorsky helicopter S-92 which has replaced the older version (S-61N). The S-92 arrived in Co Clare late January 2012, in order to allow the conversion and training of the aircrew and ground crew on the new helicopter.
